Brief information and rules for Senior Day League

1. Event Title: Senior Day League
2. The tentative date of the League commences in October/November 2024. Match day of Division One will be on every Wednesday (starting from 30 Oct 2024) and Division Two will be on every Friday (starting from 1 Nov 2024), starting at 10:00AM.
3. Entry fee is HK$650.00 for each team
4. Players must hold a valid Hong Kong Identity Card and HKCVTA membership (League Member for 2024 or Life Member).
   Division One: male player must be 50+ and female 40+, while male player MUST NOT grade A+ by HKCTA on that current league season.
   Division Two: male player must be 50+ and female 40+, while male player MUST NOT grade B or above and female player MUST NOT grade A+ by HKCTA on that current league season.
   Division One: At least 4 players must be grade B or above by HKCTA in each team.
5. At least 6 players are being registered in one team, and no more than 2 female players shall be fielded during each match. The combination of players may be men’s doubles, women’s doubles or mixed doubles.
6. Team registration shall be in club, company or registered society. Matches can be played on public courts and using 2 courts.
7. Format of play: one (7 points) tie-break (8 games) pro-set. 4 players of one team to form 2 pairs to compete with the opposing pairs alternatively for 2 round and a total of 4 sets.
8. Scoring: the team winning 3 sets will be the winner of the match and be awarded with 2 league points; 1 league point for each team for a score of 2 sets all, losing team with 0 league point.
9. The captain of the winning team shall submit a completed score sheet signed by both captains to HKCVTA within 3 days of each match won by his/her team for publication.
10. The top two teams from each division will be awarded to champion and runner-up. The team shall be presented with a trophy and individual medals.
11. Detailed rules and regulations of the league playing to be referred to the Senior Day League Handbook which will be uploaded later to website: hkvta.com.hk.
